Vance Askins, MD, FAAOS (Sarasota & Englewood)
A native of Sarasota, Dr. Askins graduated as Valedictorian of Riverview High School in Sarasota. He received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center.
Dr. Askins is a Diplomate at the National Board of Medical Examiners and a Fellow at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is also a member of AANA and AAHKS.
Dr. Askins takes an active leadership role in our community, supporting local schools in their academic and athletic programs. His practice speciallty focus in orthopedics is on trauma surgery, arthroscopic reconstruction, and total joint replacement using minimally invasive techniques.
